Hi, I’m Penny

Like many of you, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. It’s been full of twists, turns, and lessons learned along the way.

Growing up in a small town in Upstate NY I always knew I wanted to make an impact, but I wasn’t sure how.

I knew I wanted to go to college, get a degree, and I needed a job. I got my degree in Psychology and wanted to do something in the helping profession, where I could develop other people. But I was afraid and wasn’t sure how to make that happen.

I knew I didn’t want to work for a large corporate organization.

I wanted to help people.

So for the next 30 years… I worked for two large corporate global organizations. And I helped people. And I am grateful. For the experience, meeting my husband, and some of my very best friends.

I helped marketing and sales communicate, supply chain plan what was needed to fulfill orders, and customers get their product. I helped finance team members put controls in place. I helped people move from being on a performance improvement plan to being top performers. I helped ensure people’s personal identity and credit card information was safe. I helped teams of people come out of denial about broken processes. I helped make work more enjoyable. I helped identify areas of risk, opportunity, and develop plans to implement change. I helped organizations grow through acquisitions, divestitures, new systems, and restructuring.

I didn’t do it alone.

I’m also a musician. I started piano lessons in second grade and began playing piano for a small Baptist church when I was only 14 years old. From there I went on to play at a start up Lutheran church, then became the director at a local Lutheran church. I was the cantor at the Catholic church and currently am part of the worship team at my local church. I love Christian music and Broadway musicals. I’m a big fan of Big Daddy Weave.

I’ve learned what’s most important is to know my values and not be afraid to ask for help.

From God or other people.

I’ve been married for more than 25 years to my loyal husband and have two young adult children who mean the world to me. As they’re preparing to leave the nest, I’ve decided to turn my focus to my own personal growth with the dream of helping millions of people lead healthier, and happier lives.

I’ve lived in Canandaigua, NY most of my life. And it is beautiful. But like most places, there is a lot of pain here. People who are hurting and there is an extreme need for premium mental, physical, and spiritual health services.

15% of all proceeds from Truth Coaching & Consulting, will go towards individuals, nonprofits, and service providers in Upstate NY to help expand access to premium mental, physical, and spiritual health services.

I know I can’t save the world.

But I can try.
